Breaking the Void Ward: My Go-To Strategy

The first time I fought this thing, I got wrecked. Why? Because I ignored the Void Ward. About 30 seconds into the fight, the boss transforms into three different forms, then heads to the center of the arena and starts charging for roughly 12–15 seconds. During this charging state, it’s protected by a Void Ward that blocks all damage. Your job is to break that shield by hitting it with Elemental or Nightsoul-aligned attacks. The Ward has over 50 hits of durability, but each Nightsoul-aligned attack chips away three points instead of one. So yeah, Natlan characters are your best friends here.

I cannot stress this enough: bring at least one Natlan character. Chasca is an absolute beast because her attacks are Nightsoul-aligned and hit multiple times, which shreds the Ward’s durability in seconds. If you don’t have her, Ororon is a fantastic off-field option for consistent hits. Pair them with off-field Elemental damage dealers like Xiangling, Ayaka, Kuki Shinobu, Amber, Yelan, or Xingqiu—their Bursts are perfect for chipping away at the Ward. For on-field main DPS, Neuvillette, Ayato, and Yoimiya are top-tier choices. And hey, if your team is stacked enough, you can just nuke the boss before it even starts charging. No sweat. 💪
